Breakthru NDIS supports evidence-based allied health, clinical and disability employment services. Our team of professionals is committed to helping participants achieve their goals and increase their independence.
Our research has found that there are a number of key challenges to equitable access within the NDIS for clients with complex needs. These include: difficulties navigating the system, breakdowns in communication, and efforts to work with NDIS staff. The findings of this research provide useful insights for NDIS planners, therapists and support coordinators.
As a service provider, it’s important to stay up-to-date with the NDIS pricing arrangements and price limits to ensure you’re billing accurately for your services. This is especially true if prices are set to rise or fall, e.g. for level 3 high intensity supports. Failure to bill correctly can lead to delays in NDIS payments and may result in cash flow issues.
Navigating Breakthru’s NDIS Support Services
The NDIA updates prices on a regular basis, usually around 1 July. These changes are based on market trends, costs and wage rates.
The NDIS also stipulates that participants cannot pay for services above the recommended price limit. However, some participants assume that the NDIA sets the prices that providers charge for their services, when in reality, they do not. As a result, some participants are surprised when their NDIS invoices arrive and they realise that the charges have exceeded the NDIA’s recommended price limit. To avoid this, it’s advisable for participants to read the NDIS pricing arrangement document carefully and discuss it with their LAC or support coordinator.
